Baia Baciului lake is the largest salt lake from Slănic. It has differences in the degree of mineralization of water from the surface to depth, between 2 m and 15 m deep, where the water has 108,938 grams of salt per liter.

Baia Baciului also has a layer of sludge with a maximum thickness of 1.30 m. The chemical composition of the sludge includes mineral (sulphate, nitrate, sodium, magnesium, potassium, calcium, iron etc. .) and small amounts of organic substances. On the sides of the Baia Baciului lake are organized beaches for sunbathing. Baia Baciului lake has an area of ​​6,100 sqm.
